Open Studio Hartford is a Hartford regional event that celebrates the arts!
There are four portions to this years event: the Opening Reception & Kick-off Celebration; 21st Annual Open Studio Weekend in Hartford; Open Studio Hartford's First Annual CT Poetry Society Reading & Celebration; and Open Gallery Hours.
Opening Reception & Kick-off Celebration: Thursday, November 4, 6-8 PM, ArtSpace Gallery, 555 Asylum Street, Hartford, CT 06105, each Open Studio Weekend Artist is encouraged to submit on piece of artwork that represents what visitors will see during the weekend event. This exciting, massive show is a celebration of local arts and creativity!

21st Annual Open Studio Weekend in Hartford: Saturday & Sunday, November 13 & 14, 11 AM -5 PM: a self-guided tour of creative spaces that has taken place annually for 21 years. It is a creative showcase for local artists, produced by the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, Artists in Real Time, Inc. Locations are around the city and greater Hartford Region. Thousands of attendees expected.
This celebration of the arts combines art of all types and presents it to the community. For a full weekend in November, artists open their studios to the public or show in Hartford locations. Their wish is to inspire the community, make others aware of their work, and sell their art. Visitors enjoy the opportunity to meet local artists at studios, galleries and creative spaces in and around Hartford to browse and buy locally created art. The public also experiences live artistic entertainment at some locations!
The wide variety of artists create, showcase and sell jewelry, oil and acrylic paintings, pottery, sculpture, watercolors, collage, and photography. Meet established and up-and-coming area artists during the weekend. Join hundreds of art lovers, collectors and holiday shoppers.
Open Studio Weekend is a FREE event. There is no admission charged at any Open Studio venue.

Open Studio Hartford's First Annual CT Poetry Society Reading & Celebration: Saturday, November 6, 2-4 PM, ArtSpace Gallery, 555 Asylum Street, Hartford, CT 06105. This first ever annual event is about poetry, art, and the joy of both! CT Poetry Society Poets and other Open Studio Poets will participate in a poetry reading. At least 10 poets will create and read poems written specifically about artwork that is in the gallery as part of Open Studio Hartford. The artwork is created by Open Studio Weekend artists. Other poets will read additional, original poems.
