Artist Profile

Andrew Jeruss

Medium: Collage and Mixed Media

Description:  Whimsical collages for the young and young at heart

Sincere Authentic Genuine Naïve Natural Fearless Utterly without artifice Forever young All of these words and phrases describe Andrew Jeruss’ artwork. They also describe Andrew himself. Andrew is a young man who lives life facing many challenges - profoundly deaf, visually impaired and with serious neurological deficits. Yet these challenges do not define Andrew. Andrew is a person who loves playing with color and creating art. He loves traveling and exploring new places. He never met a meal he didn’t like and thoroughly enjoys fine dining. Hiking to beautiful spots and exploring new places are favorites of Andrew’s. Andrew brings the same innocent joie de vivre to his artwork. Without any formal training and completely unafraid, he simply explores what he can do with the materials available to him. Andrew’s art is entirely from his heart and he hopes you enjoy the results as much as he enjoys the process. Andrew's work is currently being shown at the Fisher Gallery, Farmington Valley Arts Center, 25 Arts Center Ln, Avon, CT and at Old Village Antiques, 21 East Main Street, Avon, CT.
