Description: Artwork exploring our individual relationship to memories, dreams and reality
With my work, I look to explore the relationship between memories, dreams, and reality. Memories are the foundation for my ink drawings, remembered from journal entries and photographs. I attempt to capture the layered sights, sounds, and tactile qualities of particular moments. In my dream works I freeze a strong image that recurs in dreams and highlight with bold contrasts. My work that deals with reality focuses on causes that are personally important, such as environmental preservation and equality. I graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2013 with a degree in Art Education and currently teach art at a 7-12 school.
