Carol studied fine art and art history at Centenary College and Simmons College. Formerly a research scientist, public aquarium curator, teacher, health planner, and science writer, she now applies her analytical skills and eye for detail to photography, concentrating on Outer and Lower Cape Cod, water birds, and other wildlife.
She is best known for her framed miniature fine art photos and desk calendars. "Carol's images reach into your memories and grab at your emotions. She has captured those special little intimate moments we all have.... They create a footnote to our visits of those memories, and help make them real once again." (Paul Ott, Photographer)
Photo-Graphics are born as digital photos, and refined by meticulous editing. The Miniatures are reduced to high-resolution 2 x 3" images, printed with archival inks on specially coated fine art papers, hinge-mounted to white mat board, and framed in painted or stained wood frames with easel backs. The results are unique amalgams of form, color, light, texture, and emotion. The distinctive enhancements of the images, together with the blending of the inks on the papers' velvety matte surfaces, produce crisply detailed, brilliantly colored works of joyous art.
