Artists in Real Time, Inc. has operated Open Studio Hartford by charging artists a fee to participate and a handful of sponsors. In order to keep the event free to the public and the cost for artists to participate at a reasonable rate, we have a great need for sponsor funding, individual donations and in-kind donations. OSH has grown in so many positive directions including the number of artists and venues and taking place on two weekends before the pandemic. With each venue and weekend, comes a cost of coordination, logistics and signage. Publicizing the event effectively and making ART events visible around the city and state takes even more important funds.

Now, since June 2026, ART partnered with an experienced curator and artist to open Underwater Kite, an impressive avant garde gallery in Windsor, CT. Again, cash and in-kind donations will be imperative to its success and longevity.
