Open Studio Hartford has operated in the past by charging artists a fee to participate and a handful of sponsors. In order to keep the event free to the public and the cost for artists to participate reasonable, we have a great need for sponsor funding, individual donations and in-kind donations. OSH has grown in so many positive directions including the number of artists and venues and taking place on two weekends. With each venue and weekend, comes a cost of coordination, logistics and signage. Publicizing the event effectively and making Open Studio Weekend visible around the city takes even more important funds.
