My name is Ashley Innocent, my art is inspired by vibrant colors and their values. And also Impressionism. The way certain shapes or strokes can imply a shape without the hard edges. I decided to take a step back from figures and faces (which was my norm) and experiment with fluid motions and the reflection of light on reflective surfaces. Slowly adding in dimension and recognizable objects, such as candy, to bring in a fun, playful and, at times, nostalgic feeling to the viewer.
