Amy DeLorenzo of Parts by NC has been creating with just about any medium she could get her hands on ever since she was little, but clay was always her favorite. As she grew up, Amy started to lean toward working with metals. Her late father was a mechanic, so maybe that had something to do with it. Then in about 2008 she discovered Metal Clay. Metal clay a compound of tiny, reclaimed metal particles in an organic binder that can be formed like any other clay, but once fired in a kiln becomes solid metal. Amy found that working with Metal Clay brings together the best of both clay and metal work, so she has been hooked ever since. Amy even got her certification as a Metal clay Artisan in 2013.
