Nancy Doherty is a visual artist based in Hartford, CT, specializing in expressive mark making using a variety of materials, sometimes in unconventional combinations. Exhibiting regionally since 1991, Doherty’s award winning imaginative works inform a personal sense of place with thoughtful and intuitive imagery. Influenced by Arthur Dove, the “point where abstraction and reality meet”, and other Modernists who looked to the landscape for inspiration.
