These are paintings from Ashley Innocent's recent show Pomology: a Universe of Harvested Beings
Artist Ashley Innocent puts a magnifying glass to the connections of the natural world and the human condition; ultimately personifying nature and exploring the essence and energy of color, emotions, and beauty that we see and feel often, depicted through fruit! The artist does this in a way by playing around with hairstyles people are familiar with and allowing these inanimate objects to take on a life of their own. Only omitting the eyes, communicating with the viewers that they too must look inside themselves to find their true nature and be fruitful.
