Charlie Pastelle is a natural self taught artist, they say art can be taught but no, drawing can be taught, painting can be taught, sculpting can be taught, as well as singing and dancing and acting. Art on the other hand, is the dark matter, the unseen, gravity with no equation. It can not be created nor destroyed.

Charlie Pastelle taps into this force, immersing myself within it, letting it guide me through the dark. I rely on it to exist as it relies on me to express it. I strive for my life to be seen on canvas, not just my life but the life of the world, the times I’m living in, the essence of this human experience, I strive to leave behind an accurate perception of myself and how I relate to the times I am apart of.
