Amy LaBossière is a mixed media artist and writer whose work moves through grief, recovery, and self-inquiry. She works with textiles, collage, paint, and found objects to create pieces that draw on personal history while opening space for transformation and healing. Her art often uncovers what sits beneath the surface, inviting tenderness and reflection. Amy has shown her work across Connecticut and in regional group and solo exhibits. She is the author of a memoir and recently published a book of her late husband Tao LaBossiere’s illustrations—projects that reflect her commitment to storytelling and honoring creative legacies. As volunteer director of Hartford ArtSpace Gallery, Amy organizes exhibitions and supports curators and artists in sharing underserved and diverse voices. She continues to expand her own practice through mixed media and installation work.
