I've been a dedicated, multimedia artist for as long as I can remember, an accepting, progressive, and passionate visionary. I’ve always seen and used art as my way of sharing my thoughts, feelings, and lifelong values with the world. My full purpose and message for working in this field is to strengthen connection, curiosity, and love in the world.
From my experience, art is not merely about aesthetics or technique, but about the profound and subtle ways in which it works to touch one’s soul. I aim to make artwork in a way that teaches people to appreciate even the littlest things in life, because everything can be uniquely important and valuable. I find in a world that can get so busy and overwhelming, we often forget how to slow down and cherish what really matters. Something as simple as stopping to enjoy the quiet summer rain or spending an evening with someone you care about can be monumental for one's development. Through capturing feelings and emotions with symbolic, concentrated works, I hope to bring others a sense of relatability and longing.
I pride myself on striving to evoke emotions that transcend the mundane and awaken a truly deep awareness of the beauty both in ourselves and in the world around us. (which, besides making such artwork, sounds like a daunting task, in and of itself). My reminder is simple yet powerful: that we should love everything we have. We should take time to grow positively, curiously, and think as a community. And I believe mediums like art are the perfect way to achieve this. I'm constantly exploring new and wider ranges of materials in order to elevate and maintain relevance with my pieces, but my work mainly consists of ones such as watercolor and acrylic paint, colored pencils, microns, gel pens, pastels, markers, charcoal, and added 3d materials such as cardboard, foam, and dried flowers.
