I have been formulating personal care treatments since I was a young girl in the kitchen with my grandmother using ingredients from her pantry and garden. My grandmother was the original DIYer, master of all things made from scratch, a sorcerer of ingenuity, and healing alchemist. She was faith driven, rooted in tradition and invested in future generations. After her retirement, my grandfather was diagnosed with dementia. She spent her golden years as his caregiver and she modeled the purest commitment in her loving, nurturing ways. Tragically, she neglected her own needs as she so dutifully attended to Grandpa's. She developed glaucoma and lost her vision. Although this was detrimental to her self- sufficient longevity, she maintains to this day that attending as Grandpa's caregiver was an honor and there was nobody better suited to answer the call.

This was a tremendous lesson of the importance of self-care for me. I believe that self-care is the first step to giving back. I am committed to creating natural products that nurture a sensory immersive experience, rejuvenation, and restorative support: because "we can't draw from an empty well." In addition to general sales, Swagger & Swank forges partnerships with charitable organizations to run fundraising events. Through those fundraisers, 20% of revenue is donated to cultivate the collective.

My grandparents' love story taught me so many things and it armed me with a mantra of perseverance: the only thing to expect is the unexpected and life will get downright dirty. Dig in, answer the call: Because gettin' dirty is just as fun as washin' up!
