The Studio Mission: At The Studio CT, our mission is to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive artistic community that empowers artists of all backgrounds to explore, create, and thrive. We provide a collaborative space that nurtures artistic growth, fosters meaningful connections, and contributes to the cultural enrichment of our local and global communities. The Studio offers work and gallery space for individual artists for rent year-round.

RiseUP for Arts is a non-profit aimed at creating public art that is inclusive and accessible to anyone. We work with artists, individuals, businesses, and communities on mural and placemaking projects throughout Connecticut Our mission is to empower communities to imagine new possibilities through public art, education, and placemaking.
RiseUP was founded in 2012 as a youth development and mentoring program aimed at helping youth develop the skills needed to be the catalysts that inspire and uplift their community. We launched RiseUP University as an after-school and weekend program that connected youth with mentors and career coaches. The program also required youth to commit to community service. In 2015, the RiseUP University youth cohort decided to paint a large-mural in Hartford as part of their major service project. After that first mural, the RiseUP for Arts program was born.
RiseUP for Arts has completed over 300 mural and placemaking projects since 2015 throughout Connecticut. RiseUP works with 100+ local, professional artists, collaborates with 100s of partners, and hosts 1,000+ volunteers per year to help beautify our communities.

RiseUP for Arts creates public art through public art consulting and curating, donations, grants, and community goodwill. It supports artists, cities, other nonprofits, companies, and local community members in making their public art projects come to life. The organization helps create the vision and manages the entire process.

RiseUP's Founding Pillars: Support. Access. Service.
RiseUP for Arts has grown to be the State of Connecticut's only state-wide public art nonprofit. In addition to public art, RiseUP for Arts is still focused on youth development in each community mural project. RiseUP also partners and organizes creative placemaking experiences across Connecticut.
