Tao LaBossiere is a multi-disciplinary artist with over 25 years in the field and the founder and lead creative at Art of Tao LaBossiere LLC, working alongside his wife, Amy. The company holds Small Minority Business Enterprise certification with Asian Heritage distinction. In 2023, he was honored with an Artist Fellowship in Visual Arts from the CT Office of the Arts.
Known for his mindful and deliberate craftsmanship, Tao imbues each work with intricate attention to detail, whether it's a commercial project or a deeply conceptual personal piece. His educational background includes Hartford Art School, and he served as the lead creative at Still Waters Retreat Center for a decade.
Tao's murals have become local landmarks, including the iconic downtown Hartford turtle mural, as well as standout pieces at Bear's Smokehouse BBQ and Asylum Hill Pollinator Garden. He has also co-directed Hartford ArtSpace Gallery on a volunteer basis for over two decades.
